Yellowstone: Old Faithful

Le troisième jour à Yellowstone, encore un lever à 4h pour éviter la foule. Nous sommes arrivés à la plus grande attraction, le basin de geysers autour du geyser "Old Faithful", dont beaucoup sont encore actifs et prévisibles. Nous avons eu un bon timing et avons enchainés les éruptions de 4 geysers !

For our third day in Yellowstone, we again woke up at 4am to avoid the crowds. We arrived at the most famous attraction, the geyser basin around Old Faithful, with a lot of geysers still active and predictable. We had a good timing and saw 4 eruptions in a raw !

En soirée, éruption inattendue de "Beehive Geyser", une des éruptions les plus hautes du parc. Les gens devant sont minuscules ! / Later in the day we saw the Beehive Geyser erupting, one of the highest geyser in the parc. People in front of it look tiny !

Yellowstone fin juin, ce n'est pas la période creuse !! Pour éviter la foule, nous avons choisi le lever à 4h et la sieste en début d'après-midi ! Cela nous a permis de voir des animaux mais de faire surtout des visites tranquilles !

End of June in Yellowstone, for sure this is not off-season !! To avoid the crowds, we opted for a 4am start and a nap in the afternoon. We then enjoyed some wildlife and quiet visits in the morning.

Yellowstone: Geyser Basin

Nous avons passé 4 jours à Yellowstone, en faisant tout le tour du parc (en ressortant du parc pour camper gratuitement dans les National Forest). Le premier jour nous avons vu le West Thumb basin, un endroit avec beaucoup de sources d'eau chaudes, Mud Volcano et les Mammoth terraces.

We spent 4 days in Yellowstone, driving the all tour (just leaving the parc at night to camp for free in the National Forests). The first day we visited West Thumb Basin, Mud Volcano and Mammoth Terraces.
